Im Glad There is You – Time Lapse

All in all this was about 14+ hours of footage squeezed into a 4 minute song. This project was a commission by a lovely person who wanted a gift for her husband. This version of the song “I’m Glad There is You” is by Jamie Collum and it is their wedding song. the drawing is based off the song, and is about 2 people navigating through life together.

here are the lyrics

Said I many times, love is illusion,
A feeling result of confusion
With knowing smile and blas© sigh,
A cynical so and so, am I.

I feel so sure, so positive,
So utterly unchangeably certain
Though I never was aware of loving you
’til suddenly I realised there was love in you and oh…

In this world of ordinary people…
Extraordinary people,
I’m glad there is you.

In this world of overrated pleasures
And underrated treasures,
I’m glad there is you.

I live to love,
I love to live with you beside me
This role, so new
I’ll muddle through with you
If you’ll guide me through.

In this world where many, many play at love
And hardly any stay in love,
I’m glad there is you.

More than ever, I’m glad there is you.

Said I many times, love is illusion…

    Hi Tony,

My daughter and I met you in the French Market about a year and a half ago. We both enjoyed talking with you so much and both have bought several pieces of your art. I visited NOLA the weekend before Mardi Gras and looked for you, as I always do, but couldn’t find you. I check in on your Website once in awhile to make sure you’re still around ; )

I just wanted to thank you for posting your time-lapse piece. How creative of you to think to do this to their wedding song!! It is just beautiful.

I hope you are well. Best wishes, and I hope to see you next time I visit NOLA!!

Hey Mary, thank you very much! Im glad you like the piece. Sorry you couldn’t find me, I have been selling mostly in a night market on frenchmen street instead. I tend to stay up late as it is so this is better for my crazy hours. Im not even close to a morning person. If you are ever in town again feel free to reach out, we can always meet up.

    all the best

    Hi Tony,

So very nice of you to respond. Glad to know where you are currently selling your art so I can look you up next time I visit. Seems like it is turning into twice a year for me….I just love it there…must be a past life thing or something. Who knows, maybe I’ll be a resident some day???

Wishing you the best, and hope to see you in the future!
